During the the two week road trip with my grandson, we needed a good meal before hand. Our choices were limited so we went with Shoney's. I was surprised to see a full bar in the restaurant. We were seated right away and my grandson didn't hesitate to choose his meal from the breakfast bar.
Stopped at this Shoney's with 3 generations on a road trip. Absolutely 5 stars worthy.
Breakfast buffet is outstanding. 8.99 per person for all you can eat! Good quality and they will make you something if it's not on the buffet line.
I was really surprised. I have not been in Shoney's for years. This store was very clean. The buffet bar was attracting. So, I went for it. The fresh cold foods were exactly that and the hot foods were hot. Everything had great flavor. Finally the staff was all smiling and extremely friendly. My server Ruby was really engaging. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience.
Our waitress, Chasity, was very nice and attentive. She mentioned that the pancakes that were offered on the breakfast bar were made fresh. Each time she served his pancakes, they were hot off the grill. All in all, we filled up and moved out.
Mack the manager and "T" our server showed absolute southern hospitality.
Absolutely the cleanest restaurant, most friendly staff, great buffet, food was awesome. Bathrooms were clean and maintained.
A Fast Meal
I had a lovely dinner with my mom here last night after our trip and was kicking myself for not checking it out earlier since I live close by. The service was friendly and attentive, the food delicious and reasonably priced, and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. I'm a wrestling fan and was very entertained by Mr. Scott Steiner's wall of memorabilia, especially the Heavyweight Champion belt and letterman's jacket. I will DEFINITELY be coming back in the future and will bring my friends with me.
Will put this on our travel stop list for sure. Easy off and on the highway.
