We went here last Monday to celebrate my son's birthday and were NOT disappointed. I work in the food industry and have heard about Henry's over the years from several people; but had never made it to Acworth to try it out (we live in Marietta). The entire staff was friendly and professional, and the food was excellent!!! We had an awesome time. Will definitely be returning and have been recommending it to my family friends.
Henry's is such a warm welcoming place to dine. You'll meet people from all over the world and more importantly the food, service and the personal greeting from chef Henry makes it that much more enjoyable. I HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting the metro Atlanta area, to stop in Henry's for great Louisiana style cuisine, a warm welcoming fun atmosphere and EXCELLENT service. You won't be disappointed. Eat up!
We LOVE Henry's! The popcorn shrimp and crawfish is a great starter. I have yet to have a bad meal there. Jambalaya is good. The shrimp and grits are the best around! I had the pork chops with potatoes and veggies and it was fantastic. Have a bayou cake, they're simply awesome! Also, if you haven't tried the scallop appetizer, you're missing out. They are to die for! The spinach that is comes with is delicious, as well. This is a "must try"!
I was in Marietta for work and one of my local colleagues suggested trying Henry’s for dinner. While I arrived right in the middle of dinner rush there was ample seating available, however, I chose to sit at the bar because I was dining alone. They have a decent selection of local craft brews and were also showing the Monday night football game. The bartender was very friendly and suggested I do the sampler because I couldn’t decide between a couple of dishes. I had the gumbo, shrimp and grits and etouffee. All three were great but my favorite was the shrimp and grits. I had been skeptical when ordering that this was going to be enough food but quickly realized I wasn’t going to be able to finish what I had ordered. I would absolutely consider dining here again next time I’m in town and my only complaint would be that the TV could have been bigger.
Great food and a lively environment. We haven't had anything we didn't love but the Ooh la la is our favorite. The owner, Henry frequently comes and talks to the guests, which is fun. It's fantastic Cajun comfort food.
