Staff was very pleasant and attentive tho our particular waiter was slow.
I had the sunrise case of the year which was delicious and highly recommend that as a breakfast item

I'll return if I'm in the area. I think it's popular due to the clientele wanting a greasy spoon in a middle class neighborhood, but it is not a good greasy spoon joint. Just my observation.
We've been there twice and it was packed, both times. The food is delicious and the staff friendly and polite. Definitely will return.
This is a bright, airy cafe with an open clean look. Went there for breakfast with a friend; the food was good, cooked well and to order. I had the eggs with ham, toast and grits. Eggs and ham were ok, just basic, but the grits were like eating cream of wheat with Velveeta cheese in it.
Food is excellent, which is also evident based on how busy it is! Don't worry though, you can sit outside on the bench or wander through the adorable (and affordable) boutique next door. Gluten free toast can also be converted to french toast (try the creme bruleé variety, it's to die for). Definitely order the Kitchen Sink, you can get a taste of multiple dishes. Pancakes are well-sized and offer a variety of flavors as well.
The people make it so special because they know who you are and they roll out the red carpet for people.
